Sending love and hugs to my ASPYN METHOD Family! I’m on week 5 of recovery from my knee surgery. Recovery and rehabilitation is no joke! And it’s a long road ahead before I can go back to normal. Being an active individual, this has certainly been a challenge for me and there’s not a day that goes by where I rather be at ASPYN with YOU! sharing some laughs, bossing you around to keep perfect form and pushing you to reach your goals! I learned my lesson when I decided to be too competitive doing some crazy squats ( I mean how low can you go? 😂) clearly low enough to get injured! The question I kept asking myself: was it age related? Or should I have worn tennis shoes and stretched first? Or is it a combination? Honestly it doesn’t matter! My advice to anyone who wants to squat, dance, live a little : stretch first, and wear the right shoes, but most importantly listen to your body! The one thing the surgeon and my PT instructor told me was that because I practice Pilates I’m already strong and my knee will heal faster. Pilates is longevity! 🙌🏻❤️ keep moving 🍑
