We may all not have a brain injury, unfortunately I do. It’s very hard to accept and after 5 years I’m still trying.

I had a difficult day today. After an absence of six weeks due to a broken foot, I returned to karate practice last night. I made a conscious effort to avoid putting too much strain on my foot. The mental effort of recalling karate techniques left me feeling exhausted. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a good night's sleep, waking up several times. Despite a decent morning start, my energy levels plummeted by midday. Took a nap … fingers crossed I make it the rest of the day without having to nap again.

I’m not sure where you all live, be very careful today, stay hydrated and cool. I posted about heat and seizures…see my page. It’s a hot one…hard to breathe. We cannot afford to have our bodies heat up today. Thinking of all of you today, stay safe 💜

Most people only recognize epilepsy when they see a seizure.

But that’s only the tip of the iceberg. 💜

What people DON’T see:
• The memory loss
• The anxiety
• The migraines
• The exhaustion
• The insomnia
• The fear of losing independence
• The feeling of constantly being misunderstood

Epilepsy is more than what happens during a seizure.
For many people, it affects every part of life. Mentally hi@ a, emotionally, physically, and socially.

Some battles are invisible.
