Each year, over 100,000 Americans die from fentanyl, and 4,000 of them are under the age of 25. By starting conversations with our younger communities and overall raising awareness of the dangers of fentanyl, we can help reduce these numbers.💙

💡Some actions you can take to prevent accidental tragedy from fentanyl include:
- Only take medications prescribed to you by your licensed medical provider
- Never accept or take medications from anyone other than your doctor
- If you are going to use, make sure to utilize fentanyl testing strips
- Learn how to use naloxone and carry it with you
- Starting the conversation with your loved ones or friends

For people living with opioid addiction, the days following release from jail or prison are among the most dangerous they will face.⚠️

This is due to that fact that during incarceration, most people with opioid use disorder stop using opioids. While that may sound positive, it creates a serious medical risk when they are released.

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Month 💙

BrightView Health is proud to stand alongside SquareOne Family Justice Center and Help, Incorporated: Center Against Violence along other community partners in raising awareness, supporting survivors, and helping connect individuals and families to resources when they need them most.
We encourage local organizations and community members to participate in the “Light the Night Blue” initiative by decorating spaces in blue to show support for child abuse awareness throughout April.
