The most common form of vertigo is benign paroxysmal position vertigo, often called BPPV. The symptoms are a spinning sensation when the patient moves the head in to certain positions. Patients typically report dizziness when they turn over in bed, look up, or move the head in a particular position. Diagnosis is usually straight forward. The treatment is a canal repositioning maneuver which is non- invasive and very effective.
