CARE Chest will remain closed tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25, and our regularly scheduled outreach distributions in Nixon, Wadsworth, and Lockwood will not take place.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we continue to navigate the situation. We’ll share additional updates as they become available.

Due to the ongoing wildfire conditions in Northern Nevada, CARE Chest is closed today, Monday, August 24, and our regularly scheduled Lovelock distribution has been canceled.

Our hearts are with our neighbors, friends, families, and community members affected by these fires—especially those who have been evacuated or are facing uncertainty about their homes and loved ones.

We are incredibly grateful to the firefighters, first responders, emergency personnel, volunteers, and everyone working to protect our communities.

From all of us at CARE Chest, please take care of yourselves and one another, follow all local evacuation orders and emergency guidance, and stay safe, Nevada. ❤️

We are honored to join the incredible partners of Campus for Hope as we work together to remove barriers to health, stability, and independence for our community.
CARE Chest looks forward to providing essential healthcare resources through an on-campus CARE Chest Closet, helping residents access the medical equipment, supplies, and nutritional support they need to follow treatment plans and maintain their independence.
