✨ The Truth About Birth Plans! ✨

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a good birth plan! 🤰🏼💕

In fact, I strongly encourage every one of my birth clients to create one!

Birth plans are an incredible tool for educating yourself, exploring your options, communicating your preferences, and feeling empowered going into labor.

BUT… here’s something I always remind my clients.

Birth plans are preferences, not promises. ✨

Birth is unpredictable. Sometimes things unfold exactly as we imagined, and other times we find ourselves navigating a completely different path.

And that’s okay!

One of the most valuable things we can bring into birth is the ability to remain flexible, open-minded, and informed as things unfold.

Letting go of control does NOT mean letting go of your voice, your choices, or your education. 🙌

You can advocate for yourself AND remain open to change.

Because sometimes the very first lesson parenthood teaches us is that we can’t control everything. 💕

My goal as your birth doula isn’t to make sure everything goes according to plan. It’s to help you feel educated, supported, and empowered no matter how your birth unfolds.

✨ Babywearing with a Rebozo! ✨

One of my favorite ways to babywear! 🌸 Not only is using a rebozo a beautiful, traditional way to keep your baby close, but it’s also a wonderful way to save money on expensive baby carriers!

I love how simple and versatile it is! Perfect for throwing on around the house, getting a few things done, or making a quick run to the store. Plus, it folds up small enough to take just about anywhere! 🌿

A rebozo is just one of the many tools I bring in my birth and postpartum doula bags to help families feel supported, connected, and confident throughout their journey. ✨

To my fellow birth workers…

We spend so much of ourselves holding space for other people. We walk into some of the most vulnerable, emotional, powerful moments of someone’s life and give them our presence, our hands, our hearts, and our energy.

And sometimes, we carry pieces of those experiences home with us.

As a birth worker and Reiki Master myself, I know how important it is to have a space where we get to receive, too.

I’m offering Energy Healing + Reiki specifically for birth workers—a space where you don’t have to care for anyone else. You can simply be.

Come rest. Ground. Reset. Release some of what you’ve been carrying. Reconnect with yourself and allow someone to pour some of that energy back into you. 🤍
