Thinking about flying with an autistic child or family member? Wings for Autism offers a chance to practice the airport experience before a real trip.
Participants can go through the airport, practice the steps of flying, and even board a plane without needing a ticket. It’s a low-pressure way to become familiar with what to expect on travel day.
Update: The Arc of King County is hosting the next Wings for Autism event on October 17. However, registration has filled as of 10/8, but look out for their next edition of this biannual event.
