Safety Tip: Closing the Feedback Loop on QRE Reporting

Reporting QREs is a critical first step in documenting risks and harm. QRE reports can lead to actionable improvements in:

▪️ workflow
▪️ modified technology/software
▪️ the pharmacy's workspace design
▪️ quality of patient care

Closing the feedback loop is a positive step to increase employee engagement and improve the safety culture.

Does your Pharmacy have a plan to inform each employee of the changes that are made, and when these were the result of QRE reporting?

For more information, or to get your Medication Safety and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program started, visit the APMS site at www.medicationsafety.org or give APMS a call at (866)365-7472.

Our very own Boris Zhang tried to sneak this one past us and quietly let it slide into our feed, hoping no one would notice.

Nice try, Boris. We noticed. And, of course, we SHARED! 😂

A huge congratulations to Boris Zhang, PharmD, on being named the WSU College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences’ Recent Alumnus of the Year (RAY Award)!

Boris may prefer to stay out of the spotlight, but his dedication to the profession, his colleagues, and the next generation of pharmacy professionals deserves to be celebrated. We truly can’t think of anyone more deserving of this honor.

Sorry, Boris. You’re just going to have to let us brag about you for this one.

Congratulations from all of us at the WSPA! 🎉

Congratulations to Boris Zhang (PharmD '19), who was selected for the WSU College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences’ RAY Award (Recent Alumnus of the Year)! 🎉

Boris currently serves as the Director of Professional Affairs for the Washington State Pharmacy Association where he focuses on fostering collaboration among pharmacy partners and leading outreach initiatives to inspire the next generation of pharmacy professionals.

We will be presenting Boris' award as well as other alumni, preceptor, and mentor awards during this year's Crimson Gala on Friday, September 25.
