In clinical practice, betrayal violence refers to any breach of trust that destabilizes the nervous system and creates a perceived threat.
When a client enters a therapeutic space, their body relies on predictable behavior, professional boundaries, and regulated interactions to maintain safety.
Any conduct — physical, emotional, or psychological — that disrupts this stability becomes a form of harm.

This is why Century Massage is adamant about maintaining a strictly safe, regulated environment.
Medical massage requires a space free from chaos, manipulation, boundary violations, and emotional volatility.
If an individual’s behavior threatens the safety of clients or staff, that person must be removed from the environment immediately.
Safety is not negotiable.
A dysregulated presence can compromise treatment outcomes, trigger nervous system activation, and undermine the therapeutic process.
