Today marks LEAP’s 35th birthday!

When Dr. Craig Hobar founded LEAP in 1991, he set in motion a vision that dedicated volunteers have helped carry forward ever since.

Over the decades, medical professionals and volunteers have given their time and expertise across hundreds of missions, each playing a part in shaping LEAP into the organization it is today.

35 years later, we continue that same commitment to serving others, inspired by Christ’s love.

Dr. James Suen was the keynote speaker at Becoming Whole, an event hosted by Ed's Friends, Christian Medical Association of Ukraine, and LEAP Global Missions to support bringing specialized surgical care and medical training to Ukraine. Dr. Suen was recognized for his humanitarian service in Ukraine. In honor of his dedication, Former President Bill Clinton shared a heartfelt message.

This September, LEAP will travel to Zimbabwe to care for children born with cleft lip and/or cleft palate. Because of limited access and economic barriers, many families travel long distances from rural areas and towns beyond Harare to receive free surgical care. This is life-changing for each child and their families,
