This photo is from 2021, the beginning of Revamped Wellness yoni steaming services but after the coming of age ceremony. It captures a sacred moment between my daughter and me as we shared a mother-daughter yoni steam.

For me, this was about more than the steam. It was about creating space for conversation, connection, reproductive wellness, and the journey from girlhood into womanhood. It was an opportunity for our relationship to begin evolving beyond only mother and daughter—and into womanship.

As women and girls, we share experiences connected to our bodies, our cycles, our reproductive health, and the many transitions that shape us. These common experiences can become the foundation for a deeper sisterhood—one that reaches across generations and includes mothers, grandmothers, aunties, caregivers, daughters, and chosen family.

Think back to when you first started your period.

Who prepared you?
Who celebrated you?
Who made you feel safe enough to ask questions?
Was it treated as something sacred—or something to hide?
How might your journey into womanhood have been different if you had received intentional maternal support?

And now, if you are raising or guiding a girl, what do you have the opportunity to do differently?

A coming-of-age ceremony can transform a pivotal moment into a rite of passage—one rooted in education, affirmation, bodily autonomy, culture, care, and belonging. It can tell a young girl: You are not alone. Your body is not shameful. Your questions are welcome. The women around you are here to walk beside you.

I want us to become curious about what it could look like to change the pattern—not only for our daughters, but also for the younger versions of ourselves who may not have received this kind of support.

This journey does not have to be walked alone. We can move through it together—girl to woman, daughter to mother, generation to generation—building a sisterhood rooted in the shared experience of womanship. 🧡

I been quiet🤫 Come with me as I step into another chapter of my reproductive wellness practitioner journey.

For years, my work has centered women—our wombs, our bodies, our healing, and reconnecting with ourselves. But most importantly, I’ve learned to show up as my authentic self.

And doula training felt like coming home, returning back to center♾️

I’m naturally nurturing and empathetic. Holding space for women emotionally, energetically, and through their healing has been a part of my work for years.

But this experience also brought me back to something that happened almost 10 years ago.

In 2017, I attended a womb healing retreat with the world-renowned Q U E E N A F U A Queen Afua. During that experience, the card that choose me was Nuit, also known as Nut—an ancient Egyptian goddess of the sky, motherhood, protection, birth, and rebirth.

At that time, I understood her as this powerful representation of feminine, maternal energy—the one who covers, nurtures, protects, and holds space for life and transformation.

And now, all these years later, becoming a doula makes that moment feel even more significant.

This work doesn’t feel foreign to me. It feels familiar. It feels natural. It feels divinely aligned with who I already am.

And of course, there’s the Pretty Sick and Tired part! 😂 Those classroom chairs did NOT work for my body, so I used the birth balls to better support my body and manage my pain. One thing about me, I will unapologetically REVAMP and find a way for this body to make it through🤷🏽‍♀️

That’s your reminder: adapt the experience to your body. Find what works for you—and still do the thing✔️📋

Now I get to bring this training into my reproductive wellness work and my organizational work through a health equity lens—rooted in cultural humility, empathy, advocacy, and culturally responsive care.

Womb healing. Birth support. Advocacy. Equity.

I’m officially a trained birth doula. 🤎

And somehow, it feels like I’ve been walking toward this for a very long time.

This Fibromyalgia Awareness Month, I gave myself permission to pause.

To reflect.
To heal.
To listen to my body.

For years, I have poured my heart into helping women and men transform through body sculpting, wood therapy, and laser teeth whitening. I have loved witnessing confidence return, self-esteem grow, and people reconnect with themselves.

But healing requires honesty.

As someone who teaches wellness, I have to live it too.

After much meditation and reflection, I have made the decision to step away from personally providing body sculpting, wood therapy, and laser teeth whitening services.

This wasn’t an easy decision, but it is an aligned one.

To my clients with existing packages: Your investment will be honored. I will be reaching out personally, and you’re welcome to contact me directly to discuss your options.

This is your reminder that adapting is not giving up. 💜

Too many people living with fibromyalgia and chronic pain are hurting themselves trying to keep up with a version of life and a version of their body that no longer exists.

Listen to me carefully:

There is NO shame in accommodations. There is NO shame in support. There is NO shame in mobility aids, adaptive devices, rest breaks, or doing things differently.

Use the chair. Use the cane. Use the motor scooter. Apply for the disability placard.

Because pushing yourself beyond your body’s limits over and over again can lead to more flare-ups, more hospital visits, more medications, more inflammation, and more disconnection from your body.

Healing starts with acceptance, not defeat. Acceptance!

And acceptance allows you to create a wellness-centered life that actually supports your healing instead of fighting against it.

One of the most important things I’ve learned on my fibromyalgia journey is this:

✨ Keep moving your body. ✨

Movement matters.

Not punishment. Not overexertion. Not ignoring pain.

But intentional movement.

Because when we stop moving completely, the body stiffens, pain increases, mobility decreases, circulation slows, and we lose trust in our body.

Movement helps you reconnect. It helps you learn your limits. It helps you rebuild confidence. It helps you discover new ways to experience joy, strength, and freedom inside your body again.

Your journey may not look like everyone else’s… but you still deserve to take up space boldly and unapologetically.

You are not weak for needing support. You are wise for honoring your body.

If you are living with fibromyalgia or chronic pain, I want you to know that your life is NOT over. Wellness is still possible. Joy is still possible. Wholeness is still possible.

💜 FIBROMYALGIA AWARENESS DAY MAY 12th💜

“What you don’t see” vs. “What you do see.”

What you don’t see is the pain behind closed doors.The flare-ups.The exhaustion.The brain fog.The inflammation.The grief that comes with fighting your own body and nervous system every single day.

What you do see is me dancing. Smiling. Laughing. Choosing joy.

But those moments don’t come easy.

For me, music is medicine.The frequency, vibration, rhythm, and movement help reconnect me to my body in moments where pain tries to disconnect me from myself. Dancing gives me autonomy. It reminds me that even in pain, I can still experience joy, softness, freedom, and life.

But what many people don’t understand about fibromyalgia is that recovery takes time. Wellness takes intention. And sometimes after moments of joy… the body crashes.

Living with fibromyalgia means learning how to self-manage, listen to your body, honor your limits, and create wellness care around every part of your life.

✨ Emotional Wellness✨ Physical Wellness✨ Spiritual Wellness✨ Social Wellness✨ Intellectual Wellness✨ Occupational Wellness✨ Environmental Wellness✨ Financial Wellness

Healing is not one-dimensional.

And neither is grief after diagnosis.

There are cycles of denial, anger, sadness, isolation, acceptance, and rebuilding that continue to surface throughout the journey. But with tools, support, education, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, sound healing, nervous system regulation, and self-awareness… those cycles become easier to navigate.

What once took weeks of recovery can become days.What once felt impossible can become manageable.

To everyone silently battling chronic pain and invisible illness:I see you.I honor you.And I want you to know that your life is still worthy of joy, softness, purpose, and wholeness.

Denial after a medical diagnosis doesn’t always look like refusal…
Sometimes it looks like:
👉 “I’m fine”
👉 “I can push through this”
👉 “Nothing has to change”

But with fibromyalgia, the body will always tell the truth.

And when we ignore it, we stay stuck longer in the cycle of grief.

This is why I focus on healing the mind, body, and energy together.

I’m working with three powerful centers:

✨ Crown Chakra (Awareness + Connection)
When balanced: clarity, trust, spiritual connection
When blocked: confusion, disconnection, denial of reality

✨ Throat Chakra (Expression + Truth)
When balanced: speaking your needs, self-advocacy
When blocked: silence, suppression, not expressing pain

✨ Heart Chakra (Emotions + Healing)
When balanced: compassion, love, emotional release
When blocked: grief, heaviness, emotional pain stored in the body

When you’re diagnosed with fibromyalgia…
you don’t just feel pain—
you feel shock.

Shock isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it’s quiet…
numbness, confusion, disconnection from your body.

And for many of us, that shock isn’t new.
It’s layered.

It’s connected to past trauma, grief, heartbreak, and emotional experiences we’ve carried for years.

Because what we don’t process emotionally…
the body holds physiologically.

Fibromyalgia isn’t just about muscles—
it’s about a nervous system that has been overwhelmed,
a body that has been in survival mode for too long.

💚 The heart chakra (heart center) is where we often store:
• grief
• heartbreak
• abandonment
• emotional pain
• unprocessed love

When this energy is blocked, it can show up as:
✨ tension in the chest and upper body
✨ emotional heaviness
✨ fatigue
✨ difficulty receiving or giving love
✨ and yes… even chronic pain patterns

Today, I’m using sound healing to gently support my heart center—
to teach my body that it’s safe to feel, release, and heal.

Because healing fibromyalgia isn’t just physical…
it’s emotional, spiritual, and nervous system work too.

And here’s the truth most people don’t talk about:

When you’re diagnosed with a chronic illness,
you enter the stages of grief—

Shock
Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Testing
Acceptance

But what they don’t tell you is…
👉 you won’t go through them just once

You’ll cycle through them—
over and over—
until your body, mind, and heart catch up with your reality.

So if you’re in shock right now…

💜 You’re not broken
💜 You’re at the beginning

Take your time.
