Yesterday, Becky Gann represented COMC at the ribbon cutting for the Rest Easy Project at the Conway I-44 rest stop, hosted in partnership with the Southwest Missouri Drug Poison Coalition.

The event brought together partners from across the region, including MoDOT, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Webster County Health Department, Southwest Missouri Drug Poison Coalition, Melissa Schmidt, and many others committed to making our communities safer and healthier.

The Rest Easy Project is an exciting initiative that will expand along I-44, bringing this important resource to four additional rest stops across the state of Missouri.

Following the ribbon cutting, Becky also attended the Laclede County Coalition meeting, held at the new construction site for Shayla’s House in Lebanon. Shayla’s House will be a 16-bed residential facility for women with substance use disorder and is expected to open in fall 2026.

We’re proud to have COMC represented alongside so many community partners working together to expand resources, support recovery, and improve access to care across the communities we serve.

COMC is proud to offer Recovery in Bloom, providing free support for expectant moms and moms of children ages 0–2.

From parenting support and maternal education to help navigating Medicaid, WIC and other benefits, participants can choose the classes and resources that are right for them — available both in person and online.

💙 The important thing to know: Current SNAP households do not need to submit new documentation simply because these changes are taking effect.
