You weren't meant to survive on caffeine and cortisol.

A tired woman doesn't need more discipline. She needs answers.

Sometimes it's hormones.
Sometimes it's nutrient deficiencies.
Sometimes it's stress, trauma, or a body carrying more than it was designed to hold.
Your body isn't working against you.

It's asking for help.

✨ Stop guessing. Start understanding.

Hey friends 🤍

I’ve had quite a few new faces here recently, so I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself.

I’m Ksena - a functional medicine nurse practitioner, founder of Rise Health & Wellness, boy mom, sports mom, Jesus follower, and someone deeply passionate about helping people feel like themselves again.

I work with both women and men who are struggling with things like:
✨ fatigue
✨ hormone imbalance
✨ weight gain
✨ gut issues
✨ brain fog
✨ low energy and burnout
✨ perimenopause/menopause
✨ low testosterone
✨ poor sleep
✨ “normal labs” but still feeling awful

My approach is different than the traditional quick-fix model.
I believe health is connected:

Hormones. Gut health. Stress. Sleep. Nutrition. Nervous system. Trauma healing. Lifestyle. It all matters.

Around here, we focus on:
✔️ root-cause healing
✔️ education and empowerment
✔️ realistic lifestyle changes
✔️ long-term wellness instead of band-aids
You’ll also see a mix of:
• health education
• hormone tips
• functional medicine insights
• motherhood
• real life
• faith
• sports mom chaos
• and probably some dancing or 90s music references too 😉

While many people know me for helping women navigate perimenopause and menopause, I also work with men looking to optimize testosterone, energy, metabolism, recovery, and overall health.

I’m so glad you’re here.

Tell me where you’re from or what health topic you want to learn more about. 🌸

✔️ Take time to rest, reflect, and connect with loved ones
We will reopen with normal business hours on Tuesday.

Happy Mother’s Day, mamas 🤍

If you know all the words to this song…
you might also be:
✨ waking up at 3am
✨ overheating for no reason
✨ forgetting why you opened the fridge
✨ wondering what happened to your patience

Perimenopause is real.
And taking care of yourself is not selfish — it’s necessary.

Let’s chat about your health, your hormones… and maybe our favorite 90s playlist too. 🤍

Some seasons feel like waves are constantly crashing.
But when your hormones are supported…you don’t feel like you’re drowning in them.

You adjust.
You recover faster.
You stay above water.
That’s the difference.

If you’ve been feeling like your body isn’t keeping up with your life…it might be time to look deeper.

Play isn’t just for kids - it’s biology.
When you dance, laugh, make silly faces, and let your guard down… your body releases oxytocin - the hormone of connection, safety, and trust.

And here’s the truth:
You don’t build a regulated nervous system through control… you build it through connection.
Through play.
Through laughter.
Through being seen without performing.

So today:
Dance like no one’s watching.
Be a little ridiculous.
Make the memory.

Because that moment?
It’s medicine.

And social media feeds it.

What you’re comparing yourself to isn’t real life — it’s someone’s best angle, best lighting, best moment. Not their stress, their inflammation, their hormone imbalances, or their gut struggles behind the scenes.

That quiet pressure to “be better” doesn’t stay in your mind…
It shows up in your body.

Chronic comparison → chronic stress
Chronic stress → cortisol dysregulation
Cortisol dysregulation → thyroid disruption, hormone imbalance, gut dysfunction

This is how “trying to be perfect” slowly turns into fatigue, weight gain, poor sleep, and feeling off in your own body.
You don’t need to be perfect.
You need to be supported.

If you’re ready to stop chasing symptoms and start understanding your body, let’s talk.

🔬 New retrospective data on testosterone therapy for menopausal women — here's what we're seeing:

A UK specialist menopause clinic studied 510 women on HRT with persistent symptoms who added transdermal testosterone:

✅ 52% improved libido

✅ 47% improved mood

✅ 39% improved cognition

✅ All 9 cognitive/mood symptoms significantly improved at 4 months

In breast cancer survivors (n=47), testosterone was associated with significant improvement in 20 of 24 menopausal symptoms — including night sweats, anxiety, and depression.

A separate claims database analysis (n=10,000+) found women on testosterone had LOWER rates of MACE (Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events) (RR 0.64), DVT (RR 0.61), and breast cancer (RR 0.48) vs. matched controls.
