Today, our founder and CEO of LEVELS Mental Health, Dr. Gregory Marcelle, was honored with the “Local Legend” Award presented by the Henrico County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

In response to this recognition, Dr. Marcelle released the following statement:

“I'm deeply honored to be recognized as a Local Legend by the Henrico County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.. This moment is more than an award it's a reminder that the work we do in our communities truly matters.

A heartfelt thank you to Sharon Matthews Fortune, LPC, CSAC for seeing the vision, the impact, and the purpose behind the work. Your nomination means more than words can express.

As we celebrate, we must also reflect. Mental health is not a side conversation it is the foundation of healthy families, strong communities, and generational change. We need to be more intentional about creating safe spaces where people can speak freely, seek help without judgment, and access resources without barriers.

As a community, we must:

* Normalize conversations around mental health
* Invest in accessible and culturally competent care
* Support our youth before crisis becomes intervention
* Check on our strong friends and our silent strugglers
* Build environments where healing is just as important as success

This recognition is not the destination its fuel to continue the mission. Let's keep showing up for one another, advocating for change, and doing the work that truly transforms lives.”
