Fairmont Home Health has transitioned to Beyond Faith Homecare & Rehab of Houston, continuing to provide trusted home health services to patients and families in Sugar Land and the surrounding communities.

Fairmont Hospice continues to serve patients and families under the Fairmont Hospice name.

NATIONAL ALS AWARENESS MONTH

What is ALS?
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurological disease that affects nerve cells responsible for controlling voluntary muscle movement.

Over time, ALS leads to:
Loss of muscle strength
Difficulty speaking and swallowing
Respiratory decline

When to Consider Hospice for ALS
Hospice care may be appropriate when patients experience:
✔ Increased weakness or immobility
✔ Frequent infections (especially respiratory)
✔ Significant weight loss or difficulty swallowing
✔ Increased shortness of breath
✔ Decline in ability to perform daily activities
