Fresh piercings and sunscreen don’t mix.

During the healing process, your piercing is still an open wound. Applying sunscreen directly on or near it can introduce irritation, slow healing, and increase the risk of complications.

If you’re spending time in the sun:
✔ Keep sunscreen away from the piercing site
✔ Use shade, hats, or clothing to protect the area instead
✔ Wash hands thoroughly before touching near a healing piercing

Once your piercing is fully healed, sunscreen can be used normally again.

Protect your skin and your piercing by giving it the clean environment it needs to heal properly.
