Happy Mother’s Day to the women who raised me, shaped me, and loved me into who I am today. 🤍

I truly would not be the woman, doula, or “girl’s girl” I am without my Nani, my Ninni, my Godmother, and my Mother. Each of these women poured strength, love, resilience, warmth, and wisdom into me in their own unique way. Growing up surrounded by strong Italian women and deep family culture shaped so much of my heart and identity. It taught me the importance of caring for others, showing up for family, creating community, and loving loudly.

Because of them, I grew into a woman who values motherhood, womanhood, business, and connection so deeply. They influenced me to become an entrepreneur, career woman, and business owner with women, mothers, and families always in mind. Every family I support through RoseMoon Birth Services carries a piece of what these women taught me about nurturing, compassion, and strength.

Today, I celebrate them… and every woman who helps shape the next generation through love, sacrifice, and care. Thank you for making me who I am. 🤍

Quick PSA because I get this question all the time 👀

Yes—you do need to fully take apart your Dr. Brown’s bottles when cleaning them.

Those little vents and pieces? They trap milk super easily, which = the perfect spot for buildup (and yep… mold 😅) if they’re not cleaned properly.

Good news: it’s super quick once you know how to do it.

Saving this = future you not side-eyeing your bottles at 2am 🍼✨

Allow me to reintroduce myself… 🤍

It’s been a minute since I’ve done one of these and with so many new followers, future clients, and families here — I figured it was time. It’s so wonderful to meet you.

I’m Jessica, the owner and doula behind RoseMoon Birth Services here in Richmond, Virginia. I’m a certified birth & postpartum doula specializing in overnight newborn care, VBAC support, IUI/IVF journeys, and gentle sleep coaching.

What started as a passion quickly became my full-time career and truly the greatest honor of my life. Supporting families during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and those long overnight hours with a newborn is work I deeply love. I believe families deserve support that is evidence-based, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and genuinely personalized to them.

Most nights, you’ll find me helping exhausted parents get rest, processing birth stories at 3am, washing bottles, soothing babies back to sleep, troubleshooting breastfeeding questions, or reminding new parents they’re doing an incredible job.

Outside of doula work, I’m passionate about community care, advocacy, supporting survivors, helping teen moms access support, and creating inclusive spaces for all families.

Whether you’re preparing for your first baby, adding another little one to your family, looking for overnight postpartum support, or simply here to learn — I’m so happy you’re here. 🤍
