The Transfer Has Begun
Have you ever looked around and wondered how some people can do wrong, cut corners, and still seem to keep gaining, while honest, faithful, hard-working people are still praying, still pressing, and still trying to make it all come together?
Proverbs 13:21–23 gives us a powerful reminder that what we see is not the whole story.
“Adversity pursues sinners,
But the righteous will be rewarded with prosperity.
A good person leaves an inheritance to his children’s children,
And the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
Abundant food is in the uncultivated ground of the poor,
But it is swept away by injustice.”
— Proverbs 13:21–23 (NASB)
These verses remind us that God’s economy does not work like the world’s economy. What looks delayed to us is not overlooked by God. What appears hidden is still being watched by Heaven. And what seems unfair now is not beyond the reach of God’s justice.
The righteous are not called to spend their time envying the wicked. We are called to remain faithful, to keep working, to keep building, and to keep trusting the Lord. Scripture teaches us that adversity follows the sinner, but the righteous will be rewarded. That reward is not always instant, and it is not always flashy, but it is sure.
The text also says that a good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children. That means righteousness is bigger than the present moment. It is not just about surviving today. It is about building something that outlives you. It is about legacy. It is about living in such a way that what God places in your hands becomes a blessing for generations to come.
Then the writer says something that should encourage every believer who has ever felt overlooked: “the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.” In other words, God has the final say over resources, increase, and provision. What is in the hands of the unjust is not outside of His control. The Lord knows how to move what has been misused, mishandled, or withheld, and place it where it can be stewarded with wisdom and righteousness.
But there is also a warning in the passage. Verse 23 says that abundant food can be found even in the field of the poor, yet injustice sweeps it away. That tells us there can be real potential, real productivity, and real promise present, but if injustice is at work, the harvest can be interrupted. That is why we must pray not only for increase, but also for wisdom, discernment, and righteous judgment. We do not just want blessing. We want the ability to steward blessing well.
So the message is simple: stay faithful in your field.
Keep sowing.Keep building. Keep praying. Keep making sound decisions. Keep your heart right before God.
Do not become distracted by the temporary success of people who are not walking with Him. What God has for you is not canceled by what they appear to have. The Lord sees your labor. He sees your integrity. He sees your consistency. And He knows how to bring increase in His time and in His way.
The transfer is not just something to shout about in the future. In many ways, it is already in motion.
What field are you working right now that you are trusting God to bless and multiply? Let's encourage each other in the comments.
