Time for my weekly accountability post, and at first, I was pretty upset by it π I only completed 8 classes this week. This is the lowest number of classes completed in a week since I started all this 7/14/25...
Previously, the lowest number was 9. Here's how the week shook out:
- 2 Zumba
- 2 Low Impact Cardio & Toning
- 4 Stretch
Sigh... That said, I did spend more than 3 hours hiking on Thursday. I've also taken a lot of walks. So... I DID get movement in. Just not as much as I hoped.
I know...give myself grace...I was sick most of this week...but y'all! When I can't move, it feels bad. I get sad about it. I feel crankier and more depressed. The mental health goblins creep in...so I get that much more determined to do more the following week! And, that is what I will do this week. Funny enough though, I lost 2 lbs this week.
Anyways...I'm still sticking to my experimental schedule change this week, so here's my plan:
π― Sunday - Longer stretch class and a long walk for active recovery
π― Monday, Friday and Saturday - Zumba and Low Impact Cardio and Toning at the gym. I'll also be doing another stretch class, a short walk, and some body weight exercises throughout each of these days
π― Tuesday - Pilates and stretch classes at home with a walk
π― Wednesday - Longer stretch class and a long walk for active recovery
π― Thursday - Hiking. Not sure where we're going this time, but we're hiking again!
If you heard my recent episode on the More Movement Please podcast, you already know that the reason I'm changing things up is I feel like I need some more gym/home life balance and I had to admit I WAS overdoing things. I'm trying to do more workouts with the hubs, and trying to figure out how to fit in all the work in my queue as well since we're FINALLY building my personal brand into what I have wanted it to be for years. But...the movement won't stop.
Onwards and upwards, my friends! π
