SCCP - VCU Student Chapter The American College of Clinical Pharmacy - VCU Student Chapter focuses on advancing human health by extending the frontiers of clinical pharmacy.

ACCP - VCU Student Chapter provides students with a local connection to the national organization. We exist for the following reasons:

1. To familiarize students with the field of clinical pharmacy by providing information about careers and opportunities within the field of clinical pharmacy; promoting dedication to excellence in patient care, research, and education; and encouraging the professi

onal development necessary to function within an interdisciplinary team.

2. To advocate for the role of clinical pharmacists in providing direct patient care, including evaluation of the patient and his or her pharmacotherapeutic needs; initiation, modification, or discontinuation of patient-specific pharmacotherapy; and ongoing pharmacotherapeutic monitoring and follow-up.

3. To encourage participation in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy at the national level and in local/regional chapters.
