Ashley Webb has served the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) since 2004 and currently serves as Director of Outreach, a role she has held since 2019. She works closely with ABFM Diplomates and AAFP state chapters, helping physicians navigate the certification process and stay informed about changes in board certification requirements. Ashley holds a Master of Science in Health Care Management and brings extensive experience in customer service, physician support, and outreach.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Louis A. Rubenstein, a dedicated family physician and respected leader. His commitment to family medicine and service to his community will be remembered with deep gratitude.

Dr. Rubenstein served as MAFP President from 1982-1983 and was honored as the 2010 MAFP Family Physician of the Year. Throughout his distinguished career, he also served as Chief of Staff and Chief of Medicine at Ocean Springs Hospital, President of the Jackson County Medical Association, and held numerous leadership roles that helped shape healthcare across Mississippi.

Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Rubenstein’s commitment to patient care, physician leadership, and the specialty of family medicine leaves a lasting legacy.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and the many lives he touched throughout his remarkable career.

A graveside service is being held at 11:00am today at Southern Memorial Park.
