Ethel's Place Memory Cafe meets monthly at the Community Center as a welcoming gathering for individuals living with memory loss and their caregivers. Each meeting features engaging activities, light refreshments and connection opportunities.

PAX Hospice enjoyed spending the morning with the healthcare professionals at G.A. Carmichael Family Health Center – Goodman, MS!

Led by our Community Educator, Natasha Knox, our session focused on hospice care, eligibility, and the importance of timely referrals.

When loved ones become terminally ill, it’s natural to feel overwhelmed. It can leave you emotionally drained and searching for answers. Many of those answers may lead to the conversation regarding Hospice care. I challenge you to take some time and read the linked article, and pass it on. You never know who may need it. Prepare yourself through education. Prepare the others.

Great discussion on “what Hospice is and is not” last night at Colonial Heights! Thank you to Rebecca Gathings Kincaid for speaking! We really appreciate you.
I have really enjoyed helping Colonial Heights conduct this 8 week program on Aging.
Next week we will be hearing from Sam Williford on Estate Planning. So important to get your paperwork in order before you need it.

The Community Center is beginning a new program for persons living with memory loss and their caregivers. The first event will be August 5 from 10:30 am-12:30 pm at the Center located at 7454 Old Canton Road. Join us for a luau themed morning of refreshments, crafts, and fellowship. We hope to make this a monthly event.
