I know this is going to ruffle feathers. Say what you want.

5 years of school.
A masters degree.
1,200 supervised practice hours.
Boards passed.
Licensure maintained.
Continuing education for the rest of your career.
Six figures of student loan debt.

And the “top of market” Indeed notification you got this week? $42 an hour. Salary cap around $70K.

Excuse me?

That is not a career.
That is a ceiling with a stethoscope on it.

And you’re supposed to be “grateful to have a job.” You’re supposed to be “in it for the mission, not the money.” You’re supposed to smile and nod and take what you’re given.

We’re done pretending that’s okay.

MYTH: You need 10K followers to make real money.
TRUTH: You need 4-6 buyers a month. Some of our members have less than 500 followers and are pulling $10K months. Buyers > followers.

MYTH: You have to be on IG, TikTok, YouTube, threads, AND a podcast.
TRUTH: One platform, done well, will build you a business. Five platforms, done poorly, will burn you out in 90 days.

MYTH: The market is too saturated.
TRUTH: The market is saturated with GENERIC. It’s starving for SPECIFIC. Pick a niche narrower than feels comfortable and watch what happens.

MYTH: You need to be a certified [insert 3 more credentials] before you charge.
TRUTH: You need to be able to deliver a transformation. Your credentials help. Your certifications help. But your ability to actually get someone a result is what people pay for.

MYTH: If it was going to work, it would’ve worked by now.
TRUTH: Most coaches quit right before it clicks. The ones making money aren’t smarter — they just didn’t stop.
