Women’s health update: On September 17, the FDA held a public workshop on testosterone use in menopausal women and highlighted the need for more research. This was not an FDA approval—there is still no testosterone product FDA-approved specifically for women in the U.S.
Current evidence is strongest for one specific concern: low sexual desire that causes distress in some postmenopausal women. Large trials haven’t proven benefits for energy, mood, memory, or muscle strength. But as a hormone provider, I watch patients get better in these areas every single day.
Women deserve good answers—and careful, evidence-based care.

Your hormones can affect so much more than you realize — especially in your 40s and beyond. ❤️
