Lately I’ve been feeling a little less like myself… while simultaneously questioning who the heck “myself” even is these days. 😂

Maybe it’s the summer blues setting in, or denial that summer is coming to an end—which is weird because I genuinely LOVE fall.

But I’ve caught myself comparing a lot lately.

Comparing my success and my business to other people’s. Letting people tell me how I should run my business. That being fully booked isn’t actually a good thing long-term. That I need to add more hours. Do more. Grow more.

Comparing how much I accomplish in a day to someone else.

Comparing how I look to women I see on social media.

And at some point I had the thought…

This is all so freaking dumb. 😂 WHY?!

Why am I placing my self-worth in a world that literally crucified a perfect man?

Why am I giving people who know nothing about the massage industry—or the physical and mental burnout that can come with it—a little place to spin around in my head?

Why do we act like running ourselves into the ground is something to brag about?

I’m probably one of the WORST offenders. I constantly tell myself, “Summer is just a grind. We’ll get back to living life when it’s over.”

Meanwhile I work at my studio 3–4 days a week, pour concrete another 2, and I’m in school.

And while that sounds pretty badass written down… 😂 I’m freaking tired.

Somewhere along the way it’s really easy to forget that the whole purpose of having a life is to actually LIVE IT.

Not constantly accomplish more.
Not look better than someone else.
Not build the biggest business.
Not prove how exhausted you can make yourself.

And social media definitely doesn’t help. You see a picture, a smile and a perfect little caption and suddenly you’re envious of someone’s life without knowing a SINGLE thing about what’s happening outside that snapshot.

So while I don’t particularly enjoy mushy emotions 😂 I figured I’d make this little reality-talk post because maybe someone else needs the reminder too.
Comparison is the thief of joy. Work-life balance is necessary. Exhaustion isn’t a flex. It’s okay to be a hot mess sometimes. Give yourself some grace.

✨ AUGUST IS FULLY BOOKED! ✨

All 60 & 90-minute sessions are officially booked for August! 🤍

I do still have TWO 30-minute sessions available:
• August 24th | 7:30–8:00 PM
• August 26th | 7:30–8:00 PM

After those, my next availability is September 28th (for 60 min or 90 min)!

Seriously, THANK YOU for keeping my schedule so full. 🥹🤍 I’m beyond grateful for every single one of you who continues to book, rebook & support my business!

I still can’t believe I get to make this post!!
It feels so surreal thinking back to last fall when I was beyond grateful just to have 1 or 2 clients a week… and now I’m booked out into the end of September. 🙌🏼

Thank you all!!!

I want to hear from you! 👇✨
What’s your favorite part of a massage with me? Is it the neck and shoulders, feet, scalp, hands, or maybe the stretches, cupping, or muscle scrapping?

Tell me below! 🤍

One of my favorites is detailed hand work and upper trap work!! Seriously why is there always so much tension to be released in those areas?! 😅

Being a massage therapist is, in my opinion, one of the greatest jobs in the world! 🌎🤍

How many professions can say people are genuinely excited to see you, leave feeling better than when they walked in, and can’t wait to come back? That alone is such an incredible blessing, and it’s something I’ll never take for granted. ❤️

But there are also parts of this job that people don’t always see…

• You can’t please everyone.
• You have to learn to say “no” and prioritize yourself. (That’s especially hard when you’re a people pleaser or a new business owner worried that one unhappy person could hurt the reputation you’ve worked so hard to build.)
• You have to enforce policies, even when you hate doing it.
• You have to understand that longevity in this profession depends on taking care of yourself. (Haha and PTO will never happen 👎)
• And sometimes you’re faced with difficult ethical situations that require you to make the right decision on the spot.

At the end of the day, I truly love what I do. I love my clients, I love helping people move and feel better, and I love leaving work knowing I made someone’s day just a little better.

That’s something I’ll always be grateful for. 🤍

POV: skin rolling… one of my absolute FAVORITE techniques. 🙌🏼🙌🏼
If you’ve been wondering what the heck it is that I’m doing in the beginning of a session this is it!! … ❤️‍🔥
I use this in almost every session:)

Why? Because skin rolling is one of the best ways to warm and mobilize the fascia, helping it release so we can gain easier access to the muscles underneath. When the fascia moves better, the rest of the treatment is often more effective.

And the best part? Once you get past those first few rolls… it feels AMAZING. 🤩
