Your color didn’t “just fade”… here’s what’s really happening 👇

Frequent washing = faster fade.
Water + shampoo open the cuticle, letting those color molecules slip right out. Using professional shampoo matters because it’s formulated to be gentler and help seal the cuticle, keeping your color locked in longer.

Heat is another big one.
Blow dryers, flat irons, curling tools without protection, they literally break down the pigment in your hair. High heat = faster color loss because it weakens the bonds that hold your color in place. Always use heat protectant and keep temps controlled.

Sun exposure ☀️
UV rays oxidize your hair color (just like they do to anything else exposed to air + sun), which is why your tone can shift or look dull/brassy over time.

And don’t forget summer culprits…
Chlorine + saltwater strip moisture AND color. Chlorine can even alter the tone (hello greenish hues 👀), while salt dries the hair out, making it easier for color to fade.

Healthy hair holds color better protect it, and your color will last ✨
