I’m trying to get more protein from real food and less from bars and powders. I found Brami protein pasta and used my niece Alexa's recipe... and it did not disappoint! High protein, simple ingredients, and actually delicious. If you’re looking for easy ways to boost your protein, recipe below. 👇
Italian pasta salad recipe:
Ingredients:
12 oz rotini pasta (or your choice)
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 cup cucumber, diced
1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
1 cup mini mozzarella balls, halved
1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
For the Dressing:
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water to cool.
In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, mozzarella, olives, salami, and basil. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, oregano, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to coat evenly.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to enhance flavors.
