💙 Behind the Care: Meet Ryan Melton
One of the things that makes DrugCo Health so special is the people behind the care. Our team brings not only professional experience, but personal experiences and connections that shape the way we understand and support the bleeding disorder community.
Today, we are honored to share Ryan Melton’s story.
Ryan was the first person in his family to be diagnosed with hemophilia. Since then, his connection to the bleeding disorder community has continued to grow, with both his brother and daughter also living with hemophilia.
At 28 years old, Ryan began volunteering with his local chapter and has remained involved in the bleeding disorder community ever since. His years of experience have given him a unique perspective on what it means to live with a bleeding disorder and navigate the challenges that can come with it.
When asked what he wishes more people understood about daily life with a bleeding disorder, Ryan shared that while limitations can become frustrating, they are always manageable.
His advice to his younger self is simple: take better care of yourself.
And when he’s not working or giving back to the community, Ryan’s favorite way to spend a weekend is even simpler: getting the chores done and then relaxing poolside. ☀️
Ryan’s story is a reminder that living with a bleeding disorder is a lifelong journey, but with experience, community, and the right support, challenges can be managed along the way.
