Save the date for the January Luncheon on Wednesday, 1/18/12 from 12-1:30 at Four Nineteen West. Katherine Snead, LPC, EAT will be presenting Expressive Therapy Practices Used in a Psychiatric Setting.
Objectives:
1. Learn one underlying theory of expressive therapy practice
2. Identify three major goals of expressive therapy interventions for treatment of mental illness
3. Learn two expressive arts interventions to use in conjunction with current practices
Katherine Snead is an Expressive Art Therapist and LPC in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at Carilion Clinic. She has experience providing expressive therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
