We have our Mobile Crisis Response Team on location at the Streator Elks today from Noon until 7 pm. During the upcoming week, we will have our van at Streator City Park while we await clearance from emergency management officials to enter and establish services within the areas most directly impacted by the storm. Remember that our normal Crisis Teams are accessible 24/7. Due to the needs of our Streator family and friends, we want to be a part of what the town of Streator and the Streator Chamber of Commerce have created for those who need help, can get it fast.

BREAKING NEWS! The TAKE IT DOWN ACT is now in effect. That means platforms such as websites and apps have 48 hours to remove intimate images shared without your consent after you report them, and they’re required to continually remove duplicates by federal law. The law applies to images and videos, real and fake, including AI-generated or “deepfake” content.

If a platform does not follow the law, you have the right to report them to the FTC, the government agency responsible for enforcing this law, at TAKEITDOWN.ftc.gov.

This is a major win for survivors and one step forward in combatting image-based sexual abuse. If you have struggled in the wake of this abuse, know that you are not alone and you deserve an expedient response when you report harm.

Platforms must do more to not only respond to this abuse, but to prevent these images from being created and spreading, shifting the onus of responsibility from survivors to perpetrators and the tech companies that facilitate this abuse.

Lots of good things going on downtown Rochelle tomorrow!

Down town Rochelle is the place to be tomorrow! I'll be at the ribbon cutting/open house for Down Range from 10-1pm offering free chair massages! There are also so many other businesses offering specials and having sidewalk sales along with great vendors from 10-5pm. Its going to be a beautiful day to come check everything out
