Currently emotionally recovering from the Family of Liars twist 😂📚 Anyone else into this series?!

Anywho, sharing a room with the twins last weekend reminded me of something…

I actually sleep SO much worse when my babies are next to me 🙃

Every little noise had me instantly waking up anxious something was wrong.

Meanwhile when they’re in their own room at home? Most of the time they go right back to sleep without needing me at all.

So here’s your reminder today 🤍

If moving your baby to their own room before 6 months feels right for YOUR family — that is okay.

You know yourself.
You know your baby.
And mom sleep matters too 🫶🏼

Are you having trouble with the bedroom transfer?

You know that moment when your baby makes a noise at 1:13am… and before you even realize it, you’re already halfway into their room? 😅

Most parents assume every sound means
👉 fully awake
👉 needs help
👉 pick up immediately

But babies are LOUD sleepers.

They squirm, fuss, reposition, briefly cry out, and move between sleep cycles all night long — especially in lighter sleep.

So tonight, try this, before you pick your baby up, pause for 90 seconds.

Not to ignore them.
Not to “cry it out.”
Just to give them a chance to resettle if they can.

You might be surprised how often a baby who sounded fully awake… actually wasn’t.

And if they DO escalate?
You can absolutely go in and support them.

But that tiny pause can prevent accidentally waking them more fully during those in-between sleep moments.

Small change.
Big difference.

And honestly? These are exactly the kinds of realistic, actionable shifts we work through inside the 5 Day OMG Sleep Reset (link in bio) 🤍

Not rigid schedules.
Not “just let them cry.”

Just practical sleep changes that actually fit real life and help your baby become a more confident, flexible sleeper.

If you try the 90-second pause tonight, reply and tell me how it went ✨

Hot take 🔥

babies don’t only learn where they sleep… they learn what sleep feels like 👏

And the goal isn’t for every sleep to look the same everywhere… it’s for sleep to feel familiar, even when the environment changes 🤍

A dark room is great. White noise is great. But if sleep ONLY works under one exact condition, naps, travel, and real life can start feeling stressful fast 😅

Babies can learn sleep cues that go beyond the crib:
✨ sleep sack
✨ bedtime song
✨ consistent routine
✨ the way you respond at bedtime

Those things become familiar and comforting — even when everything around them changes.

And yes, temperament absolutely matters. Some babies are naturally more flexible than others.

But I think a lot of parents underestimate how adaptable babies really are when consistency is in place 🤍

Your baby’s sleep doesn’t have to feel impossibly fragile.

Comment “FLEXIBLE” if you want help building more flexible sleep habits 👏

🚨 Hot Topic: Moving Baby to Their Own Room 🚨

When is the right time to move baby out of your room? 🍼

The AAP recommends room-sharing for at least 6 months (ideally up to a year) to reduce SIDS risk.

But let’s be real… not every family follows that timeline 👀

Some babies move earlier because:
👉 They’ve outgrown the bassinet
👉 No one is sleeping well
👉 They need more space

So… is moving baby early wrong? 😳

Not at all.

You know your baby better than anyone. While safety guidelines matter, there are safe, thoughtful ways to transition before one year.

The goal? Sleep that works for your WHOLE family.

Because a well-rested parent = everything ✨

Just keep safe sleep basics in place: firm mattress, empty crib, no blankets, white noise ✔️

*this blanket was used for nap while being watched on the monitor 😉

When did you move your baby? Early movers—tell me how it went 👇🏻💕

Wake windows aren’t your problem.

I said it.

Because I see moms stressing over 5 minutes like it’s going to make or break sleep…

Meanwhile their baby
- needs to be rocked fully asleep
– wakes every 45 minutes
– can’t connect a nap to save their life

Wake windows aren’t magic.
They’re a supporting detail.

If your baby doesn’t know how to fall asleep independently,
the perfect wake window won’t fix broken sleep.

It just won’t.

You don’t need a tighter schedule. You need a clearer plan for how sleep actually happens.

Once that clicks?
Everything else gets easier.

(Yes, even naps!!)

One of the hardest parts of baby sleep for parents is learning to pause.

Babies are noisy sleepers.
They fuss.
They squirm.
They protest when things change.

But that doesn’t always mean they need you.

Sleep is a learned skill and just like rolling, crawling, or walking, babies need space to practice!

When we rush in immediately every single time, we unintentionally keep them dependent on us to fall asleep.

Giving your baby a moment to work through it isn’t neglectful.
It’s actually one of the most supportive things you can do for their sleep development 🤯

And the result?

✔️ Longer stretches of sleep
✔️ Easier bedtimes
✔️ A well-rested baby
✔️ Parents who finally get their evenings back

If you’re struggling with naps, bedtime battles or constant wakeups, you don’t have to figure it out alone 🫶🏼

From needing a parent to fall asleep and multiple wake-ups ➝ sleeping all night in his crib 🙌

This is why I do what I do!!

Night 1 and this babe fell asleep and stayed asleep all night without needing help from mom or dad!

When babies learn independent sleep, the entire household changes.

More rest.
More patience.
Happier days for everyone.

If sleep has been a struggle in your house, it doesn’t have to stay that way✨

Omg!! The twins are killing the sleep game currently 😴👏🏼

Right now we’re keeping things super simple with a flexible routine:
7ish wake + bottle
9am bottle
12pm bottle
3pm bottle
6pm bottle
8:30ish bath
9pm bottle → swaddle → straight to bed

And they’ve been sleeping until 3:30–4am, which is an amazing stretch for babies who are almost 4 weeks adjusted (but 2 months from birth!).

One thing I always remind parents—and practice myself—is that newborn sleep doesn’t have to be complicated. Instead of obsessing over wake windows, I focus on full feeds, a consistent rhythm to the day and lots of daytime sleep.

They nap as much as they want between bottles and I just keep them on the same general schedule so everyone stays in sync! 👏🏻

Sometimes the best sleep strategy really is keeping things simple and consistent 🤍

Newborn sleep doesn’t have to be complicated!! If you want help creating a rhythm that works for your baby, comment SLEEP and I’ll send you info on working with me!! ✨

🎤👊🏻

If calculating wake windows makes you feel like you need a math tutor and a Xanax… you’re not alone.

My take is that babies THRIVE on routine, not rigid window watching.

✨ Build a consistent daily schedule.

✨ Make sure your baby is eating enough during the day.

✨ Watch your baby, not the clock.

I’d rather you have a feeding plan than feel like you need a calculator every time your baby is tired before the end of the fu*king wake window!!

Are you a wake window mama? Tell me in the comments -👍🏻 or 👎🏻
