A Friendly Reminder to All Patients About Appointment Timeliness:

We know life with kids can be busy, and we truly appreciate the effort it takes to get to appointments on time. Respecting scheduled times helps us stay on track and provide the best care to all of our patients

Arrival Time Matters: If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment so we can avoid delays for other families. If you know you are going to be late, please call the office and see if there’s still time to see your child, or if you will have to reschedule. Having to reschedule due to being late will be subject to a fee.

Physicals & Paperwork: Please complete all required paperwork before your visit whenever possible (paperwork is sent thru your child’s patient portal by our office prior to your appointment).
If it’s not done ahead of time, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to allow enough time to complete it.

Cancellations & No-Shows: Please note that same-day cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to a fee.

We truly value your time—and ours—and appreciate your partnership in keeping our schedule running smoothly for everyone!

Our summer schedule is open to book appointments thru September of 2026! Please call and book soon if your child has a birthday in the summer months and needs that PE for school/sports come fall. Summer schedules fill up fast, so don't wait!

To note: Dr. Silverstein will be back from maternity leave in May, and Dr. Casey will stop seeing patients in June.

As the weather warms up, kids are spending more time outside—and that means tick season is here.

Ticks are most active in the spring and summer months and can live in grassy, brushy, or even backyard areas . The good news? A quick daily check can make a big difference.

🕵️‍♀️ Make tick checks part of your daily routine:
• Check your child after outdoor play—even in your own yard
• Pay close attention to hidden areas: behind ears, scalp, under arms, belly button, behind knees, and around the waistband
• Showering after being outside can help wash off ticks before they attach

👕 Prevention tips:
• Wear light-colored clothing to spot ticks more easily
• Use EPA-approved insect repellents when appropriate
• Avoid tall grass and wooded edges when possible

Finding and removing ticks early helps reduce the risk of tick-borne illnesses like Lyme disease.

Last night, our awesome team at Legacy Pediatrics had a little "paws" for safety! We all got recertified in CPR, and of course, Meira was involved. While we were practicing lifesaving techniques, Meira decided that the CPR manikin was the perfect pillow for a quick nap.

🌟 Important Announcement from Legacy Pediatrics 🌟

Dear Patients and Families,
After nearly 40 years of dedicated service, Dr. Casey will be retiring from clinical practice at the end of June. While she looks forward to spending more time pursuing her interests, she will continue to own and operate Legacy Pediatrics, the practice she founded 19 years ago.

Dr. Casey has cherished being part of your family’s lives and is deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in her care. As she steps back from seeing patients, she is excited about the future of Legacy Pediatrics and is confident in the exceptional team that will continue providing care. Many families are already familiar with Dr. Bandari and Dr. Silverstein, who are both talented physicians committed to your children’s health. Our wonderful PA, Kate Shand, will continue her vital role in the practice, bringing years of experience and compassion to her care. If you prefer Dr. Bandari or Dr. Silverstein as your children’s primary pediatrician, please let our office know. We are committed to honoring your preferences.

Although Dr. Casey will no longer see patients after June 30th, she will remain actively involved in running the practice and will likely be seen around the office.

We had a baby!!!

Dr. Silverstein and family welcomed in little Addison Mae on 2/3/26 at 6lbs 6 oz. Everyone is healthy and doing great!!

So excited for this baby! Dr. Silverstein’s last day in the office is today! She will be out on mat leave until May, but the rest of us will still be here for patients, per usual.
