Our Response to the Executive Order on Vaccines

At Legacy Pediatrics, the health and well-being of your children is our guiding principle. We're committed to caring for your family with evidence-based medicine you can trust — and we know that when questions arise about your child's health, you deserve clear, honest answers.

The recent Executive Order on Vaccines is not grounded in “gold-standard, evidence-based science.” We want to reassure you that the science and facts have not changed.

1. Fact: Countless studies involving millions of people show that vaccines are safe and effective.

2. Fact: Countless studies involving millions of people show no link between vaccines and autism.

3. Fact: Vaccines are administered at specific ages based on when a child's immune system responds best and when a child is most vulnerable to certain diseases.

4. Fact: Vaccines cannot “overwhelm” a child's immune system. A child encounters far fewer antigens in a vaccine than when fighting the disease.

5. Fact: The total volume of vaccines administered from birth to age 18 is just 19 mL — a little under 4 teaspoons (excluding the influenza and COVID vaccines).

6. Fact: Vaccines have saved millions of lives since the first smallpox vaccine was developed.

7. Fact: When fewer vaccines are administered, disease outbreaks follow.

The current measles outbreaks in the U.S. are a clear example.
Please know that Legacy Pediatrics will continue to follow the American Academy of Pediatrics' recommended vaccine schedule and our established policies, as we always have. Your family's health remains in trusted hands.

If you have any questions or concerns, we warmly welcome you to reach out — we're always here for you and your children.

🎉 A Bittersweet Farewell to Dr. Casey! 🎉

Last week, we threw a surprise retirement party to celebrate the incredible Dr. Casey! It was a heartwarming gathering filled with laughter, love, and memories, as her family and former colleagues joined us to honor her amazing career.

Dr. Casey’s last day seeing patients was June 22, 2026, but she’s not going far! While she transitions to a new chapter, she will still be around to run Legacy Pediatrics and provide support for our team. Her wisdom and guidance will continue to shine brightly as she remains a valuable resource for all of us. 🌟

Dr. Casey, YOUR legacy at Legacy Pediatrics is truly remarkable. Your compassion, dedication, and love for our little patients have left an indelible mark on our hearts and our practice. Thank you for everything! We can’t wait to see what this next stage holds for you.

Here’s to new adventures (literally - she's currently vacationing in Italy)! 🥳❤️

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a significant milestone in American history that marks the end of slavery and the celebration of freedom. As a pediatric practice, we believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive community where every child can thrive!

Let's take this opportunity to reflect on the importance of equality, education, and empowerment. Together, we can support our children in understanding the significance of this day and the value of embracing diversity.
