I have spent the last two weekends at the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse with wonderful friends. If you have not been there, it is worth the trip. A peaceful walk in the woods that clears and touches the soul is what you will find. At one point on our journey , we came upon this beautiful memorial. I saw it from a distance and began to cry—a towering Guardian Angel carrying children to heaven. A dear friend of mine lost a beautiful daughter
the same day she was born, and my mind turned to her, her heart, her pain. My companions that day also shed tears, although none of us had lost children. This beautiful statue, without words, makes you cry, yet fills you with hope. Today I send my love and compassion to all who have lost children. They are being watched over.
