Two weeks ago, something truly special happened at Hope on Haven Hill.
A small but mighty production crew traveled to Rochester, NH to surprise our Executive Director and co-founder, Kerry Norton, with the Award of Character from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, presented in partnership with USA Today, Payton Productions, and Jarrett Payton.
The award was created in honor of Pro Football Hall of Famer Walter “Sweetness” Payton and his enduring legacy of compassion, service, and character. Inspired by those values, Walter’s children, Brittney and Jarrett Payton, helped launch this national recognition program to celebrate individuals making an extraordinary impact in their communities.
While Kerry may have been the one surprised that day, this recognition belongs to so many people. It belongs to every mother who chose recovery. Every graduate who continues to inspire us with her strength and resilience. Every child whose future has been changed. Every staff member, volunteer, donor, and community partner who believes that healing and hope are possible.
We are deeply grateful to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, USA Today, Payton Productions, Jarrett and Brittney Payton, and everyone who helped make this moment possible.
Most of all, thank you to the women and families of Hope on Haven Hill. Your stories are the reason this work matters. 🏆💜
