While our old, withered leaves are struggling to hang on
And our roots are desperately trying to feed the whole plant.
Sometimes letting go isn’t losing.
Sometimes pruning isn’t destruction.
Sometimes the thing we’re desperately trying to keep alive
Is consuming the very energy needed to grow what comes next.

🐦🌙 Sacred Encounters: The Pigeon & The Falcon
Within an hour, two very different birds flew directly across my path.
First, the pigeon.
Then, the falcon.
And naturally...
I had to know their Lorestory.
At first glance, they couldn't seem more different.
🐦 The pigeon has lived beside humanity for thousands of years. Known for remarkable homing abilities, pigeons have carried messages across vast distances and through wars. Their story carries themes of homecoming, communication, devotion, adaptability, and resilience.
🦅 The falcon carries an entirely different energy. Across history—famously in ancient Egypt through the falcon imagery of Horus—it became associated with vision, focus, sovereignty, protection, speed, and decisive action.
One knows how to find its way home.
The other knows how to rise above, find its target, and move.
And seeing them within an hour made me think...
Maybe we need both.
There are seasons when resilience means adapting to the world around us.
There are seasons when we need to remember where home is.
There are moments for carrying the message.
And there are moments for rising high enough to finally see where we're going.
The pigeon says:
🏡 Don't forget your way home.
The falcon says:
🎯 Don't forget where you're going.
One reminds us of our roots.
The other reminds us of our vision.
And somewhere between the two is a beautiful way to move through life:
Know where you come from.
See where you're going.
Adapt when the path changes.
And when the moment becomes clear—fly.
Maybe they were simply two birds crossing the road.
Maybe the timing made me pay closer attention.
Either way...
The encounter was enough. 🌙✨

🌙📖 What Is ?

You've probably noticed a word appearing around Merkaba lately:

Lorestory.

No, it's not a typo. 😂

It's our combination of two words:

LORE + HISTORY = LORESTORY

Because when something catches our attention—a moth, cardinal, rainbow, flower, number, old superstition, or something our momma told us—we usually have one immediate question:

“Okay... what's the story behind this?”

That's where Lorestory begins.

📜 History asks:
Where did this belief come from?

🌙 Lore asks:
What stories, myths, traditions, and symbolism have people attached to it?

🌿 Nature asks us to actually stop long enough to notice.

❤️ Our own experiences determine what, if anything, it means to us.

Lorestory isn't about declaring every bird, number, flower, or moth a supernatural message.

Sometimes a crow is just a crow.

Sometimes your palm is just itchy. 😂

And sometimes something completely ordinary catches your attention at exactly the right moment and inspires you to learn, remember, or reflect.

That's enough.

Because humans have always passed meaning through stories.

From ancient mythology written thousands of years ago...

To folklore carried across cultures...

To traditions passed through families...

To something your grandmother believed...

To something muh momma always said. 😂❤️

Those stories survived because somebody told somebody else.

And now we get to explore them together.

That's .

Nature gives us the subject.
History and symbolism give us context.
Our own lives give it meaning.
Then we pass the reflection along.

We don't have to prove the sign to receive the reflection.

And sometimes...

🌙🦋 Sacred Encounters: The Large Yellow Underwing

Not everything beautiful announces itself.

The Large Yellow Underwing (Noctua pronuba) spends much of its time appearing rather ordinary—earthy brown forewings helping it disappear into the world around it.

But then it opens its wings.

And underneath...

gold. 💛

Bright yellow-orange hindwings suddenly appear beneath colors designed to blend into the background.

There isn't a long-established spiritual tradition specifically surrounding this moth, so today's Lorestory comes from observing the creature itself.

And what a lesson it carries.

🌑 Camouflage can be protection.
💛 What is hidden can still be brilliant.
🌙 Darkness doesn't erase our color.
🦋 We don't owe everyone immediate access to everything within us.

Sometimes we mistake being unseen for being insignificant.

We think that because others haven't noticed our gifts, our growth, our strength, or our beauty...

perhaps they aren't there.

But nature doesn't seem particularly concerned with being witnessed.

The flower blooms whether anyone photographs it.

The forest grows whether anyone applauds.

And beneath the quiet brown wings of this moth...

the yellow was there the entire time.

Maybe some parts of us aren't hidden because we're afraid.

Maybe they're protected.

Developing.

Waiting for the moment when opening our wings actually serves us.

So here's today's reflection:

Being hidden is not the same as having nothing to reveal.

You don't need to prove your colors to everyone who passes by.

But when your moment comes...

open the damn wings. 💛🦋✨

There are moments when the best practice is simply presence. 🌧️☕✨
Rain falling beyond the porch.
Plants hanging overhead.
A warm cup of coffee.
Nowhere else we need to be for this moment.
We spend so much time asking ourselves what comes next that we can forget to experience what is already here.
Today, we're listening to the rain.
Today, that's enough. 💚

🌈 Wellness doesn't always need to be complicated.
Sometimes it's a bowl overflowing with color.
Raspberries. Grapes. White peaches. Dragon fruit. Pomegranate. 🍇🍑
Different colors. Different nutrients. Different gifts from the Earth, all sharing the same bowl.
And when we're finished? The usable plant scraps can return to the garden, becoming part of the cycle all over again. 🌱
Nourish the body. Respect the Earth. Return what you can.
Healing isn't one thing.
It's the little choices we make to care for ourselves, our surroundings, and the systems we're part of. 💜🌿

Morning rituals don't always need to look like white rooms, perfect meditation cushions, and peaceful little cups of tea.
Sometimes grounding looks like coffee in a Salem Witch City mug. ☕🖤
Sometimes joy looks like pumpkins sitting on the counter year-round.
And sometimes getting yourself ready to meet the day requires just enough spook to get your heart going. 😂🎃
Your rituals should look like you.
Find the little things that make you smile before the world gets your attention.
Then carry that energy with you. 🌿✨
