Things I wish more women trying to conceive knew sooner:
"Your levels are normal" doesn't always mean "optimal for conception." Lab ranges are designed to rule out disease β€” not to get you pregnant. If something feels off, keep asking.

LH strips alone can mislead you β€” especially with PCOS. Your body can surge without actually ovulating. Pairing strips with basal body temperature gives you confirmation, not just prediction.

A period that arrives at 10DPO every month isn't just a short cycle. It's a short luteal phase β€” and that window may not be giving an embryo enough time to implant. A 7DPO progesterone test can tell you a lot.

CoQ10 is one of the most well-researched supplements for egg quality β€” but it needs 90 days to work. If you're starting it the month before a retrieval, you're starting too late.

Embryos arresting between day 3 and day 5 is almost always an energy problem at the cellular level. Mitochondrial support β€” through the right supplements AND other tools β€” matters more than most people realize.

And finally: you are not doing anything wrong. This process is hard in ways most people around you will never understand. But there are usually more options and more answers still ahead than it feels like in the hardest moments.

Drop your biggest question below β€” happy to help where I can. πŸ‘‡

13 eggs retrieved. 11 mature. 9 fertilized. 1 blast.

If you've lived this, you know what that feels like. Watching the numbers fall at every stage. Wondering why everything looks fine on paper but nothing is converting.

Your AMH isn't the problem. Your follicle count isn't the problem.

What's happening inside the egg is the problem.

Egg quality comes down to one thing: mitochondrial function.

The energy available inside each egg to fertilize, divide, and develop into a viable blast. That declines with age regardless of how many eggs you have.

Red light therapy works at exactly that level. 20 minutes a day before your retrieval.

If you're heading into another cycle, this is worth adding to your protocol.

The only red light therapy device made specifically for egg quality.

Every other device was built for your skin. Your back. Your muscles. OvaPower was built for one thing.

Women in the TTC community have been using panels, wraps, and clinic devices for years β€” because the research on red light and egg quality is real.

But those devices weren’t designed for this. The wavelengths aren’t targeted. The placement isn’t optimized. The protocol wasn’t built around your cycle.

OvaPower is.

Designed specifically for ovarian tissue. Worn directly over the lower abdomen. Built around the same photobiomodulation research fertility clinics are using right now.

Customer Comment: "Red light therapy for the ovaries??"

Our Response: I know, right?! It sounds wild β€” but the science is actually really cool.

Red light penetrates tissue and is absorbed directly by the mitochondria in your cells. Egg quality is largely a mitochondrial health issue, so boosting that energy output at the cellular level makes a real difference.

It's been used in IVF clinics in Japan and Europe for over a decade. OvaPower just lets you do it from home.

DM us and we will send over some of the research if you want to geek out on it! πŸ”¬

CoQ10 (as Ubiquinol) β€” the most studied supplement for egg quality. Eggs require enormous amounts of energy to mature properly and CoQ10 supports that process at the mitochondrial level. Most REs recommend 400-600mg daily started at least 2-3 months before retrieval.

Myo-inositol β€” supports egg maturation and hormonal balance, well researched for fertility specifically.

Melatonin β€” acts as an antioxidant that concentrates in follicular fluid where eggs develop. Some clinics actually include it in their protocols.

DHEA β€” commonly recommended for low responders and diminished reserve. Worth asking your RE before starting as it's not right for everyone.

Red light therapy β€” newer but worth knowing about. Near-infrared light has been shown to support mitochondrial energy production directly at the cellular level β€” which matters for egg quality for the same reason CoQ10 does. There's growing research on photobiomodulation and fertility outcomes specifically.

Your eggs need a LOT of energy to grow, divide, and become healthy embryos. That energy comes from tiny powerhouses inside your cells called mitochondria.

As we get older, those powerhouses slow down β€” and that's a big reason why egg quality drops with age.

Red light therapy shines specific wavelengths of light (630–850 nm) into your body. Those light waves wake up your mitochondria and help them produce more energy (called ATP). More energy = better chance for healthy eggs.

Comment "eggs" to learn how you can improve your egg quality with red light.

Something I see over and over in the TTC community that I don't think gets said enough:

You are not the problem.

You've seen the doctors. You've done the bloodwork. You've been told everything looks "normal" or "fine." You've taken the Metformin, done the tracking, bought the supplements, changed the diet.

And you're still here. Still trying. Still wondering what you're missing.

Here's what I want you to know: "normal" and "optimal for conception" are not the same thing. Lab ranges are designed to rule out disease β€” not to get you pregnant. A result can clear every threshold and still leave a real problem unaddressed.

The women who finally get answers usually don't find them because something new went wrong. They find them because someone finally asked a different question.

If you've been told you're fine and it doesn't feel fine β€” you're not crazy. You're paying attention.

What's one thing you've been told is "normal" that never sat right with you? Drop it below. πŸ‘‡

Something most fertility doctors aren't talking about yet:

Three independent studies have now looked at red light therapy and egg quality β€” and the results keep pointing the same direction.

πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ Japanese study: Women who had previously failed IVF used red light therapy β€” 2 out of 3 achieved pregnancy.

πŸ‡©πŸ‡° Danish study: Showed a positive correlation between red light therapy and improved fertility outcomes in women.

πŸ”¬ 2024 MDPI multiwavelength study: Three women ages 40–43 with unexplained age-related infertility. All three achieved live births using photobiomodulation.

The reason researchers think it works? Your eggs run on energy.

Red light activates the enzyme inside your mitochondria that produces that energy β€” the same one CoQ10 is trying to feed.

CoQ10 provides the fuel. Red light turns the engine on.

If you're over 35 and you've been doing "everything right," this might be the piece nobody told you about.

πŸ‘‡ Drop any questions below β€” happy to nerd out on the science.

You tracked the cycle. You hit the window. You let yourself hope.
And then your period showed up anyway.

Here's what most fertility advice never mentions.

Your eggs don't lack nutrients.

They lack the energy to use them.

Egg cells require more mitochondrial energy than almost any other cell in your body.

Without enough ATP, they can't mature correctly β€” no matter how good your supplement stack is.

Red light therapy activates the enzyme your mitochondria need to actually produce that energy.

It's not that your body failed you. Your eggs have been underpowered.
