Hi!! This is Joanna, Chinh and Thao’s oldest daughter.
As you may or may not know, I am a post-bac student for the D-PRIME (Diversifying Pediatric Research through Individualized Mentorship and Experiences) Program. This is a two-year clinical research coordinator position within The University of Minnesota Medical School - Department of Pediatrics Clinical Research Services that includes both hands-on clinical research experience and a structured professional development curriculum.
As a part of this program, I am working on an independent research project called CURIOSITY that is exploring knowledge levels and attitudes of clinical research and personalized medicine.
This is a ONE-TIME electronic survey asking questions about current understanding and opinions about clinical research trials and personalized medicine and non-identifying demographics (age, race/ethnicity, education level, etc.). This survey should take about 15 minutes to complete.
If at all possible, I would greatly appreciate it if you could take this survey as well as share it with your networks.
I hope to learn specifically about the knowledge levels and attitudes of clinical research and personalized medicine from historically underrepresented populations to hopefully determine ways to increase community understanding in clinical research/personalized medicine as well as increase representation of historically underrepresented populations in clinical research/trials.
