The feeling of being disposable or unwelcome often stems from our past experiences rather than our true worth. It’s shaped by what was said and done to you, not by who you are. While the pain from these memories is real, the beliefs they created about your value are not.

An important part of trauma recovery is choosing to treat yourself with respect and kindness —even when feelings of unworthiness, inadequacy, or self-doubt arise. It means refusing to carry blame or shame for the actions of the adults around you when you were a child.
