Cystic acne is a severe form of acne characterized by deep, painful nodules and cysts that form beneath the skin's surface. Unlike common acne, these lesions originate in the deeper layers of the skin and can lead to significant scarring if not properly managed. The condition involves clogged pores, excess oil production, bacterial overgrowth, and inflammation, often influenced by hormonal fluctuations. Supporting healthy liver function as well as supporting the lymphatic system are the keys to healing this painful condition. Understanding these important factors highlight the importance of targeted care and professional guidance for those affected.

Mucilaginous herbs, such as marshmallow root and slippery elm, produce a gel-like substance when mixed with water that has been used for centuries in traditional medicine. These herbs are an excellent choice to help soothe and repair an inflamed or irritated digestive tract. They can also assist in calming and healing damage caused from heartburn and acid reflux. Beyond the Label: Why Enzyme Source and Formulation Matter
As Loomis Digestive Health Specialist I see many people come into my office who have taken digestive enzymes, many times without the results in which they expected. It is very disappointing for me, because while it is frustrating for those who seek the benefits that enzymes can bring, I have to explain that not all digestive enzymes are created equal. Just like any purchase that you choose to spend your money on, not all products provide the value that they promise.
Digestive enzymes can be a tremendous benefit when the proper formula is selected. They must also be taken consistently with meals as well.
As an enzyme therapist, I have over 14 years of education and background when it comes to enzymes and their application. Enzymes can do amazing things to help your body to heal, and can also deliver nutrients past an otherwise compromised digestive system.
Today I wanted to talk a little bit about Loomis Enzymes in particular.
Dr. Howard Loomis is the power and the genius behind Loomis Enzymes. Over 50 years ago, a man named Edward Howell began his studies into plant enzymes and how they could be used to help human digestion. By the 1980’s, Dr. Howell was retired and living in Florida when Dr. Loomis approached him about picking up the torch to carry on his work. At the time, not many people really knew anything about enzymes and their effect on digestion, and how they could help not only ease digestive issues, but help the body to absorb nutrients. After spending some considerable time with Dr. Howell, Dr. Loomis decided to apply the knowledge that he obtained into his own practice. As a chiropractor, Dr. Loomis soon was able to help an astronomical number of people that came into his office with not only chiropractic adjustments, but with the work of specific enzymes as well. He went from one formula to developing another and then another. To learn more about Dr. Loomis you can go to https://www.foodenzymeinstitute.com/content/Dr-Loomis.aspx, or read one of his many published books.
Dr. Loomis discovered that the need for digestive enzymes could differ with each individual. While many people struggled to properly digest carbohydrates, others had issues with fat and/or protein digestion. This is where the specific and individual approach is very important, and just one of the reasons that Loomis Enzymes are in a league of their own.
Loomis enzymes are of only the highest quality, and to be honest I have seen a few other good formulas from other companies~ but very few. Many popular brands contain fillers and anti caking agents that serve to cut costs and make factory production more efficient, not something that you as a consumer should want.
If you would like to learn more information about enzymes and how they can help you, I would love the opportunity to answer your questions. Please call (248) 839-1313.
