Tried out the new wellness spot in Sterling — ✨

I went in for dry needling after dealing with some pretty stubborn shoulder pain the last couple weeks, andthe relief afterward was amazing. The actual needles can definitely feel intense for a moment, but my shoulder mobility and tension improved almost immediately.

One thing I do want to mention though: I experienced a little “needle shock” during treatment. Some people can feel lightheaded, shaky, sweaty, nauseous, or just a little off after dry needling — especially if your nervous system is already stressed, sensitive, dehydrated, anxious, or in pain. My chiropractor helped me through it, and I felt much better shortly after.

That being said, I still wanted to share this experience because I know a lot of people struggle with chronic tightness and pain and may be curious about trying different modalities.

Velvaere has such a calming atmosphere already, and they offer things like contrast therapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, and more. I love seeing spaces like this opening up locally (instead of slot machines, bars, and pizza places😜) because healing spaces like this are ESSENTIAL and recovery really can look different for everyone 🤍

Dry needling works by targeting trigger points and tight muscle tissue to help reduce pain, improve mobility, increase blood flow, and calm overactive muscles. It’s not always the most comfortable sensation while it’s happening, but for me, the results were worth it.

Always listen to your body, hydrate well afterward, and communicate with your practitioner during treatment ✨

I’ve really been diggin jaw/upper neck/sinus/scalp work lately.

Especially with the change of seasons and everything in bloom. 🌸

We carry so much tension in our face and the jaw due to anxiety & stress, I love when my clients give me full permission to mess up their hair and or makeup with oil so I can work the areas that often are the culprits of chronic tension like the sub-occipitals and tmj areas.

Not your average resistance band exercise 👀

I looped a light band through my thumb and wrapped it around my forearm to create a flossing effect—adding tension and shear to the tissues.

Think:
✨ improving circulation
✨ helping things feel less “stuck”
✨ giving your overworked wrists + forearms some love

If you’re someone who uses your hands a lot (massage therapists, lifters, desk work, etc.) this can feel SO good.

It’s not about forcing anything—just gentle tension + movement and letting your body respond.

Your body isn’t tight for no reason. Sometimes it just needs a little different input 💭

Save this for later & try it next time your forearms are talking to you 🖤

Communication is everything 🤍

I’ve had a couple clients recently come back and share that past sessions may have gone a little too deep (they didn’t realize until the day after)—and honestly, I’m so grateful they told me. That kind of trust means everything.

Your massage should never feel like something you just “get through.” It should feel safe, supportive, and tailored to you.

Before your session: share any injuries, problem areas, or preferences.
During your session: speak up if pressure feels too intense (or not enough).
After your session: let your therapist know how your body responded.

We are not mind readers—but we want to get it right for you. Your voice helps us do that.

Advocating for your body in this space can ripple into every other area of your life. You deserve to be heard. Always.

POV: I’m on the bars above the table and suddenly your whole body makes more sense to my nervous system.

Working from above with Ashiatsu completely changes how I feel tension patterns. When I’m standing on the table, I’m not just working a single muscle — I can follow the chain. I might be in your hips or hamstrings with one foot, while the other foot connects into your mid-back or low back on the opposite side. That cross-body contact helps me feel how your fascial lines are talking to each other.

It’s less “this spot is tight”
and more “ohhh, THIS is where the pull is coming from.”

And for my deep-pressure people — this matters.

Using my feet and body weight through the bars lets me deliver consistent, grounded pressure without muscling through it with elbows and forearms. It’s easier on my body, which means I can be more present, more precise, and more intuitive with yours. The pressure feels broad, supported, and intentional — not forced.

When my body is supported, your body can relax enough to actually let go.

That’s the magic of working from above. ✨👣

Literally getting my feet wet 🦶✨

I’m officially booking Ashiatsu massage!

I held off after certification because I wanted real practice time—and now I’m ready to offer it to the public.
This is a barefoot, deep-pressure massage using overhead bars for control, balance, and precision.

If you love deep pressure, slow flow, and long, grounding strokes… this one’s for you.

Available for new + returning clients 💚
