Adult Enrichment Centers We engage adults of all abilities in community programs that promote inclusion and independence. Adults ages 18 and up are welcome.

Adult Enrichment Centers has a rich history of providing adult day services in York County, SC since 1985. The service is individualized to enrich each participant through activity choices, socialization, health and wellness, as well as friendship. Adult Enrichment Centers operates in three convenient locations in South Carolina - Rock Hill, Fort Mill, and York. The per-day fee is a cost effective

alternative to other forms of long-term care. Funding assistance may be available. For more information, call (803) 327-7448.

As demolition continues on our new School of the Arts facility, it’s exciting to see this vision begin to take shape.

This 10,000-square-foot space will become the first fully inclusive School of the Arts of its kind in our region, creating opportunities for creativity, connection, confidence, and self-expression through art, music, movement, culinary experiences, and hands-on learning.

A few strikes, plenty of laughs, and a great day spent together 🎳💙

Our members recently enjoyed a bowling outing filled with friendly competition, conversation, and the kind of moments that make community so special.

We believe meaningful experiences happen both inside and outside our walls. Whether it’s exploring the community, building relationships, expressing creativity, or simply having fun together, these moments help create connection and purpose in everyday life.

New month and a major new chapter for AEC 🔨✨

We have officially begun demolition on our new 10,000 square foot School of the Arts facility, the first fully inclusive School of the Arts of its kind in this region.

What’s being built here is bigger than a building. It’s a space designed for creativity, connection, confidence, emotional expression, and purpose to come to life every single day through art, music, movement, culinary experiences, improv, and hands-on learning opportunities.

There’s still a lot of work ahead, but seeing this vision begin to take shape is incredibly exciting.

Join us tomorrow for Memory Café, a free, joy-filled gathering for individuals living with memory loss and the people who care for them.

Memory Café is more than an activity. It is a moment to slow down, share conversation, enjoy creative engagement, and connect with others who understand the journey. Together, we create a space filled with laughter, meaningful moments, and community.

Art is more than creativity. It’s expression, confidence, release, joy, discovery, and connection.

At AEC, the vision behind the new School of the Arts is rooted in creating a space where people can express themselves fully through dance, music, improv, culinary arts, painting, movement, building, and hands-on creative experiences.

While the space is intentionally designed to better support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the vision is one of inclusion, a place where creativity becomes a bridge for connection, emotional expression, confidence, and community for everyone involved.

For some, the arts may become a way to process grief, frustration, or confusion. For others, it may simply be a place to explore passion, discover new gifts, and experience joy alongside others.

That’s what makes this vision so powerful.

The new School of the Arts will become the first fully inclusive School of the Arts of its kind in our region, creating daily opportunities for creativity, engagement, and purpose-driven experiences right here in York County.
