Exercise is Medicine
More than 2,000 years ago, Hippocrates is credited with saying, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” He also recognized something equally important: “Eating alone will not keep a man well; he must also take exercise.”
Today, science continues to support what he observed centuries ago.
No drug, supplement, or other health behavior can fully replicate the wide-ranging effects that regular physical activity has on the body. Exercise supports cardiovascular health, improves mood, strengthens muscles and bones, helps regulate blood sugar, enhances sleep, and promotes overall well-being.
Consistent movement is one of the most powerful ways to support the body's natural processes and functions. And yet we know that every "body" is different and the right approach should be individualized. Some individuals benefit from additional support, including counseling, prescription medications, nutritional interventions, or supplements based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Health is rarely about one thing. It's about building a foundation of habits and supports that work together.
Move your body. Nourish yourself well. Ask for help when you need it. All of these can be part of the path to better health.
