Dr. Platon therapy—often called cold atmospheric plasma (CAP)—uses ionized gas at a low temperature to create a therapeutic effect on the skin without the heat and downtime of traditional plasma treatments.

For skincare, it may help by:

* Reducing acne-causing bacteria and supporting a healthier skin microbiome.
* Calming inflammation and redness, making it useful for acne-prone or reactive skin.
* Supporting wound healing and skin repair by influencing cellular activity and circulation.
* Improving overall skin quality and helping compromised skin recover.
* Enhancing product pe*******on temporarily, which is why it can pair nicely with hydrating or restorative serums.
* Supporting collagen and regeneration—although I’d be careful about marketing it as a dramatic collagen-tightening treatment. The strongest evidence for cold plasma is currently around antimicrobial effects, inflammation, and wound healing.

One of the nice things about Dr. Platon is that it’s a very gentle treatment: there are no needles, no significant heat, and typically little to no downtime.

For Skin by Jo, I’d position it less as “skin tightening” and more as “skin healing + calming + acne control + rejuvenation.” That makes the benefits both appealing and more scientifically defensible.
