Our team just completed our mission in July.
Team was led by Cathreen Kumar, Dr Czarnecki and Pramila.

Patients were seen in the west and in Labasa.

Close to 1000 patients were seen and treated.

Treatment included general medical cases, skin diseases and screening for cervical and breast cancer. We have made huge strides in treating scabies, which if untreated can lead to rheumatism and heart valve disease in children.

Due to the new govt and new regulations there were a lot of challenges to overcome before actually delivering care.

Our heroes this yr were:

From Australia:
Dr Doug Czarnecki, Dr Jeremy Horton, Dr Elizabeth Chong, Dr Alan Chong, Sally Czarnecki, Dr Usha Chand and Sashi Sharma RN.

From USA:
Dr Rahul Sachdeva, Pramila Ram RN, Cathreen Kumar RN, Myra Soriano RN, Kevin Bethea RN and Jitendra Ram.

These volunteers pay their own way and give up their time to help others

We are truly grateful for what they do.

Special kudos to Dr Czarnecki for getting donations of medicine and to Cathreen for coordinating the mission.

Will post pics soon and if in your heart you would like to donate to our organization please visit our website fijiaidinternational.org

Thank you

Our team was able to go to Fiji in September of 2023.

The team was lead by Dr. Czernecki, Cathreen Kumar RN, and Pramila Ram RN.

Other team members were Dr. Alan Chong, Dr. Elizabeth Chong, Debra Smith RN, Dr. Lloyd Smith, Shou Lor RN, Jitendra Ram, Michael Ditou RN, and Sally Czernecki.

Cathreen, Pramila, Jitendra, Shou and Michael are from USA.
The rest of team members are from Australia.

The team provided medical care to folks in remote villages inthe Raki Raki area, Koroi Peter in Lautoka and Patan clinic in Nadi.

Care included general medical care and dermatology care by a Dermatologist. The number of people with skin diseases was astounding.

Around 600 people were seen and treated.

Everyone was screened for diabetes and high blood pressure.

Of importance was the number of children and adults seen with scabies and other skin diseases. We were lucky to get a lot of donations, to treat scabies, especially the medicine, Ivermectin.

Our gratitude to donors and volunteers who made a difference in these people’s lives.

We recognize the following donors for their kindness by their donations:

Thank you to everyone who are continuing to support our organization!

We have been able to help people for over 22 yrs now. The pandemic did affect our ability to actually go on medical missions for past two years and we hope to resume the medical missions this year.

We did however donate funds to charities on the ground in Fiji at the height of the pandemic to help towards distribution of food and basic necessities to those in need.

We also donated to help the victims the massive fires in California.

Thank you to those who are using Amazon smile to order from Amazon! We get one cent for every dollar for our organization when using Amazon smile under Fiji Aid International.

Hi Everyone,

Just a summary of work done in Fiji in July, 2017:

Week 1:
- Valley Rd, Sigatoka, where we saw around 50 folks. Of significance in this group was the number of women found to have breast lumps & suspicion of breast cancer.
- Loloma Womens Shelter, Nadi, which houses children, disabled folks and battered women. A really sad place, where we found a lot of children and women needing urgent medical care. We also had some volunteers do handywork to repair lights, pipes, swings, etc, since the shelter is an older building and needs a lot of maintenance.
- Koroipita, Lautoka, where there is always need for a lot of medical care. Over a 100 folks were seen and referrals made as needed – was a long day here…
- Navala Village, Ba, a remote native village where around 100 people got seen.
- Nawaicuba Health Center, Nadi, a farming community where around 50 folks got medical care.

Week 2:
- Vatiyaka, Ba, a remote farming community we have been serving since 2006. Around 60 people got seen.
- Tanoa Hotel, Nadi, where around 80 employees were seen. All women received breast exams and a few had to be referred for breast lumps.
- Navakai, Nadi, a poor settlement we have served for several years.
- Patan Clinic, Nadi, which is our base clinic, where around 60 people got seen, mostly women and children.

Week 3:
- Cathreen Kumar, on her vacation screened over 200 folks for high blood sugar and blood pressure in Navua and Labasa – Thank you very much, Cathreen!

Everyone was screened for HBP and diabetes. Most women seen also had pap smears and breast exams.

A Big Thank You! to Dr. Usha Chand and Dr. Jai Raj and their friend Naz Hudda, Woorim Surfside Pharmacy from Australia for medical supplies and donated medicine; Jai had to also perform the tough task of clearing these items through Customs, and we totally appreciate his help with this!

Vinaka Vakalevu! to Medsure Pharmacy, Nadi for donating medicines; They have been our partners in Fiji for a long time!

Also, a very big Thank you! to Anil Dutt and Randy Ynegas of San Francisco, who not only volunteered this year, but were able to get donations through their pages, in the amount of $1,924 – Wow!

I also made sure all the medical supplies we shipped from the USA were cleared through Customs and delivered to Lautoka Hospital – they are always in need of these items and very thankful.

Immense gratitude to all the volunteers for donating their time and paying their way to help our cause in beautiful Fiji – Vinaka Vakalevu!!!

It was a very good trip!!!! We did a lot, and hopefully made a difference for the better in peoples lives.
With my deepest gratitude…
