It may have taken thousands of baby steps, but I’m grateful for every one of them.

I took those steps kicking, screaming, crying, and sometimes crawling. But every step mattered.

Every time I walk past this wall, I smile and breathe a sigh of relief, knowing this is only the beginning. The beginning of something I’ve worked incredibly hard for.

There were times I wanted to quit. Times I doubted myself. Times I wondered if all the effort was worth it.

Looking back now, I can honestly say it was.

To anyone standing at the edge of a dream, wondering if you should take that first step—take it. You don’t have to have it all figured out. There are good people willing to help along the way.

Never give up on your dreams.

If I can do it, so can you.

What makes Synergy By Elvie different?

I don’t believe massage begins when my hands touch your muscles.

It begins the moment you start talking.

I listen.

I listen to how you’re sleeping. How you’re moving. Where you hurt. What you’ve tried. What makes it better. What makes it worse. I pay attention to the details because the details matter.

Before I begin a session, I’m already thinking. Connecting the dots. Looking for patterns. Asking myself why your body may be compensating, guarding, or holding tension the way it is.

Every session is intentional.

I don’t follow a routine. I don’t give every client the same massage. Your body, your history, and your goals help guide the work we do together.

For over 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life—those living with chronic pain, those recovering from injuries, hardworking men and women whose bodies carry the demands of their jobs, parents who never seem to get a moment for themselves, and individuals who simply need a place to slow down and breathe.

My goal isn’t to impress you with techniques.

My goal is to understand what your body is asking for and provide professional care with a personal touch.

Because when people feel heard, understood, and cared for, that’s when meaningful change begins.

I’ve been doing things. Things that will help my business grow.

I’ve taken millions of baby steps, and I’m in awe of how far I’ve come and everything I’ve accomplished throughout my career. There were a few times I wanted to hang up my gloves and walk away from it all. Then someone would come along and tell me about their experience on my table, how much better they felt, or how much I helped them.

I can honestly say I’ve always given my best, even on the days when I didn’t feel like I had anything left to give.

I’ve stopped holding myself back. I’m constantly challenging myself, learning, growing, and pushing myself toward my full potential.

Today I received my Texas Massage Therapy Establishment License for Synergy By Elvie LLC, and it’s a reminder that all those small steps matter.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, trusted me with their care, referred new clients, and encouraged me along the way. I wouldn’t be here without your support.

Here’s to greater things ahead. ❤️

MEET ELVIE

Some careers begin with a plan.

Mine began with hard work.

Before I ever became a massage therapist, I worked in Alaska’s commercial fishing industry. I started at the bottom and worked my way through multiple positions, eventually serving in Quality Control leadership. Along the way, I worked alongside machinists and electricians helping troubleshoot equipment and production systems. Those experiences later opened opportunities to work aboard vessels in the Bering Sea.

Those years taught me something that still shapes my work today:

Pay attention.
Observe carefully.
Look for patterns.
Solve problems.

Later, I attended massage therapy school in Henderson, Nevada, in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. Within months of starting school, I was performing chair massage, earning tips, and becoming a mentor to other students. I graduated with the class ahead of me and successfully passed my national certification examination early in my career.

Over the next 15+ years, I continued learning, refining my skills, and developing my own approach to bodywork.

Life, however, had other plans.

The loss of my son changed me forever.

For a long time, I stepped away from much of the world to grieve, heal, and find my footing again. That season taught me lessons about pain, resilience, hope, and the importance of human connection that no textbook ever could.

Today, I bring all of those experiences into my work.

The quality-control mindset.
The problem-solving mindset.
The perseverance.
The compassion.
The understanding that every person who walks through my door has a story.

My work is focused on helping people improve function, mobility, comfort, and quality of life through individualized care.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment.

I believe in listening.

I believe in paying attention.

I believe in treating the person, not just the complaint.

My journey has taken me from Alaska to Nevada to Texas.

Every step helped shape the practitioner I am today.

A CAREER, NOT A SIDE JOB

Massage therapy has never been a hobby for me.

It has been my profession for more than 15+years.

Throughout my career, I have remained committed to the practice of massage therapy and helping people improve function, mobility, comfort, and quality of life.

In an industry where many practitioners are forced to divide their attention between multiple careers, I have been fortunate to dedicate myself fully to the profession I love.

I am a massage therapist and massage practitioner.

This is not something I do on the side.

This is what I do.

Every day.

Every client.

Every session.

My commitment to this profession, continuous learning, and client care continues to shape the practitioner I am today.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice is the reason we enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted today.

As a Licensed Massage Practitioner, Massage Therapy Instructor, and Continuing Education Provider, I may not have served in uniform, but it is one of my greatest honors to care for those who did — and to support the veterans, families, and community connected to them.

Today is not just about a long weekend.
It is about remembrance, gratitude, sacrifice, and respect.

Please take a moment today to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of our fallen heroes. 🇺🇸
