We are beggining recruitment for the AMAZE 8 trial investigating a new dual agent weight loss IP from Novo. The comparator is semaglutide (Wegovy). The trial is for people with type 2 diabetes treated with diet or pills who have a BMI of >27. You can not have been treated with a GLP-1 within the last year. We will begin screening for another weight loss trial in June 2026. This will be a 36 week trial for people with a BMI of >30 without diabetes. The IP is a triple agent (GLP1-GIP-amylin) compound. Please call our office at 301-770-7373 for more details. Ask for someone from the Study Team.

We just got approved for a 112 week weight loss trial (AMAZE-8) for people with type 2 diabetes. There are two very unusual, in a good way, aspects.... #1)There is no placebo group. #2) They only want people who are interested in losing 25% of their starting weight. It's not listed on clinical trials. gov yet, so give us a call in the office for more details at 301-770-7373. Ask for someone from the study team. Use of a GLP-1 within the last year is an exclusion. The study number is NNC0487-0111.
