Medicine surrounds us. 🌱🌎☀️⛈️🌻🦬

It grows from the ground, but it’s also in the sun on your face, the wind through the trees, the sound of water, the animals, the changing seasons, and every living thing on Unči Maka — Grandmother Earth.

People joke about needing to “go touch grass,” but we believe there’s a lot of truth in that. When things feel heavy, go outside. Put your feet on the ground. Touch the earth. Sit quietly for a minute, or ask for help.

Sometimes medicine isn’t something you take. Sometimes it’s simply remembering that you are surrounded by it.

Even when things are difficult, we hope you always find a moment notice a little of the magic and medicine—growing, moving, and living all around you. 🌿🖤❤️💛🤍

A little glimpse behind the scenes. 🌿

There are a lot of hours tucked into a small business that you never really see.

We’re the production team, the marketing team, the design team, the photographers, the planners, the packers, the gardeners, the harvesters, the customer service team…and whatever else needs to happen that day. 😂

Most days we’re switching between a dozen different jobs, usually with dirt on our hands, boxes somewhere nearby, and a running list of things we still need to get done.

Wozani has always been deeply personal to us, and more than just a business. It’s our family, our hands, our ideas, and a whole lot of long days (and nights!) behind every finished remedy.

The end result is what’s easy to see, so we jumped on this trend to show you a little more of the work—and the people—behind it too. We don’t share the kids as much anymore, but they’re still very much a part of Wozani and a huge part of the reason behind everything we do—usually right beside us, asking a million questions along the way. 😊🖤❤️💛🤍

"Tiwahe—this song is dedicated to my grandmother and all the womenfolk who are givers of life. They teach us to have courage and to be humble. The song has no words, but the melody reminds me of the happiness I felt being around them every day. To all the younger generations: my hope is that you respect the elders and listen to what they have to say. The future is yours."

Happy May! 🌿

We’ve been a little quiet on here lately—life needed our attention for a bit. As much as social media is a big part of what we do, it also felt important to step away and be present for the personal things.

This month always brings a lot for our family—birthdays, time together, and a chance to reset.

Everything is coming back to life again. The Lakota name for this time of year translates to “the moon when the leaves burst open,” and you can really see it—buds opening on the trees, fresh green everywhere, little medicine sprouts pushing up in the garden.

Feels like a good time to come back!

Wishing you all a happy + healthy May 🌱🌼
