Forever Grateful
Until my son required ECMO, I didn't know it existed. My son was born March 2019 and was put on ECMO April 2019 because he caught Pertussis (Whooping Cough) He was decanulated June 2019 and remained inpatient until October 2019. Since this time, he has overcame A LOT and has became very independent. He was diagnosed with Autism & ADHD combined, so he's definitely a handful, but we're learning each day on how to manage and work with him and navigate with him.
Not only am I forever grateful that ECMO exists, but I am also forever grateful for Minneapolis Children's Hospital as that's where he was inpatient and received his care!
