Even though he knew he was running out of time, Dr. Moser spent some of his last precious moments giving us encouragement and support. We will be forever grateful for his life of service to the community. He was a great light for Dent County, and the whole world is now a little darker without him.

We are saddened to announce the passing of Zachary David Moser, 36, of Jadwin, Missouri, who passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri, after a courageous battle with a rare aggressive type of sarcoma. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandson, and uncle as well as a PharmD, MBA, BCPS, and DCHC Administrator.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2026, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2026, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel. Burial to follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Wilson Mortuary of Salem.

Zach is survived by his loving wife: Mary Moser of Salem, MO; children: John David and Amelia Jane; parents: Dee and Kim Moser of Jadwin, MO; brother: Phillip Moser and wife Sierrah of Jadwin, MO; sister: Emily Moser of Springfield, MO; grandparents: John and Shirley Moser of Jadwin, MO and Clara Anderson-Hawkinson and husband Dennis of Marshfield, MO; aunts and uncles: Hershel and Julia Moser of Jadwin, MO, Susan and Kevin Farr of Marshfield, MO, and Jason Anderson of Marshfield, MO; nieces and nephews: Marleigh, Alexander, Stephen, Benjamin, and Penelope; father and mother-in-law: Tim and Lucy Murphy; sister-in-law: Maggie Murphy; as well as numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

Preceding him in death was his cousin: Trevor Waugh.

For those wishing to honor his memory, memorial contributions may be made to an education fund established for his children John and Amelia. Please make checks payable to Mary Moser. Memorial Envelopes will be available.
