We need your help in Georgia.
A committee hearing has now been scheduled for Thursday, March 5th on HB 968, a bill that would schedule kratom and make it illegal in Georgia. This proposal threatens to criminalize responsible consumers who rely on natural kratom leaf.
The American Kratom Association is urging all area advocates to take action immediately.
If you are able, please attend the hearing in person and respectfully oppose HB 968. Legislators need to hear directly from the people whose lives are positively impacted by kratom.

Encourage targeted regulation that bans dangerous synthetics and 7-OH products instead of criminalizing responsible consumers
Lawmakers need to understand that natural kratom leaf is not the problem. The real issue is the emergence of synthetic and highly concentrated products like 7-OH, which should be addressed through smart regulation — not by banning a plant that many Georgians responsibly use.
